Chairman’s Message

Steadily Moving Forward, Expanding Hotai 3.0 Sustainability Framework 

In 2024, HLC once again secured the top market share in the new car leasing market, and extended its leadership for the 23rd consecutive year. We deepened the integration of Hotai Auto Auction (HAA), HOT Car Alliance, and abc used car platform, and strengthened a comprehensive used car service network that spans online and offline platforms, covering auctions, sales, and repair/maintenance. Over the past three years, both the number of vehicles auctioned by HAA and the membership of the HOT Car Alliance have ranked first in the industry. This success has solidified the Company’s competitive advantage as Taiwan's most comprehensive vehicle circulation service platform. These achievements demonstrate Hotai's significant leadership in the new car leasing and used car markets. 

Facing a rapidly changing and increasingly competitive market, we firmly believe that only through continuous innovation and transformation can we overcome challenges and turn them into growth momentum. As HLC entered its third decade in 2022, we launched "Hotai 3.0" as our mid-to-long-term development framework, with a focus on three strategic directions: 

I. Continuously deepen business platforms and expand into new markets and businesses: We will strengthen process integration and data connectivity between our various business units to enhance the operational efficiency and market responsiveness of our overall platform. We will also actively develop new markets and innovative business models to expand HLC's influence in the mobility services sector. 

II. Accelerate the adoption of AI and new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and quality: This goes beyond simply adopting smart tools. We will use technology to reshape our decision-making mechanisms and operational processes, from demand forecasting and resource allocation to customer service experience, to comprehensively improve work efficiency and accuracy. We expect AI to help our employees focus on high-value activities, thus continuously boosting our corporate resilience and innovation. 

III. Cultivate new-generation talent to build a more advanced organization and team: In response to the rapid shift in talent values, we will enhance leadership training, foster generational inclusion, and improve digital literacy. Through job rotation, cross-functional collaboration, and practical experience, we will cultivate a core team that can flexibly respond to changes in the market and technology, thus developing an organization that is both agile and adaptive. 

Accelerate the integration of diverse platforms to create maximum customer value chain services 

Based on the three strategies mentioned above, we will continue to enhance the synergistic benefits of our platforms and adopt the following two action plans as the core of our "Hotai 3.0" framework: 

I. By leveraging the solid foundation of HLC's long-term leasing and used vehicle circulation businesses, and the leading presence of our subsidiary, iRent, in short-term rentals and shared mobility, we will build a more diverse service network that caters to a full range of customers’ transportation needs. By integrating and applying data and resources from various platforms of the Group, we are establishing the industry's largest differentiated advantage and competitive edge.  

II.We will make good use of our customer base of over 2 million corporate and individual users to strengthen cross-platform and cross-member integration and behavioral data analysis. This will enable us to accurately identify demand trends, optimize product planning and pricing strategies, and further enhance customer loyalty. This is not just a display of our market scale but a crucial driving force for deepening our value chain and managing customer relationships. 

In 2025, we will formally integrate our sustainability philosophy into our corporate governance framework, establish a Sustainable Development Committee, and publish our first-ever Sustainability Report. This demonstrates our commitment to information transparency and ensures that the Company remains stable and trustworthy as it grows. Looking ahead, HLC will actively align with international sustainability disclosure standards, strengthen communication with our stakeholders, and dedicate ourselves to fulfilling our social and environmental responsibilities to become a trustworthy and influential role model for corporate responsibility in the mobility services industry.
